Chronicled is a tool that generates tabletop RPG campaign content — NPCs, monsters, items, factions, locations, and related material — along with AI-generated portrait art, and organizes it into a browsable archive for your own campaign or setting.
You can use Chronicled without creating an account in the traditional sense — opening the app starts a real, saved world for you automatically. Every world gets a free monthly allowance: 10 content generations + 1 image per month, no payment method required, resetting every billing cycle for as long as the world exists, whether or not you've ever added an email or password to it. Beyond the free allowance, two ways to get more (both require adding an email to your account first, so we have somewhere to bill and send receipts):
Separately, every world gets 30 free entries (an entry is any NPC, monster, item, faction, or other piece of content in your archive, generated or manually created); beyond that, entry packs ($5 per 25 entries) add more. Active subscribers don't need entry packs — entries are unlimited while subscribed.
Generation and entry limits, pricing, and what counts toward them may change as the product develops. We'll make a reasonable effort to communicate material changes in advance, and existing usage/worlds carry over rather than reset when they do.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly. By subscribing or purchasing credits or entry packs, you authorize us to charge your payment method through Stripe for the applicable amount on the applicable schedule.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until canceled. You can cancel or update your payment method at any time from the Settings page, which opens Stripe's secure self-serve billing portal. Canceling stops future charges; it doesn't retroactively refund the current cycle.
If your subscription lapses or is canceled, your monthly generation quota drops to zero and your world's entry cap stops being unlimited, but any purchased credits and any entries or worlds you've already created remain exactly as they are — nothing is deleted or locked. Purchased credits and entry packs are non-refundable but do not expire, including after a subscription is canceled.

You retain ownership of the world, campaign, and setting details you provide, and of the content generated for your account. You're responsible for what you input and generate — don't use Chronicled to create content that's illegal, infringes on others' rights, or violates the acceptable use terms of the underlying AI providers we use (currently Anthropic and Google).
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you use Chronicled without ever adding an email/password or a Google/Discord sign-in, your world is tied only to your browser's local storage — clearing that storage or switching devices/browsers means you lose access to it permanently, with no way to recover it, since there's no credential to sign back in with. Add an email from Settings anytime to avoid this. One world per account during the current version of the product. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the generation system, attempt to circumvent usage limits, engage in payment fraud or chargebacks without first contacting us, or otherwise misuse the service.
Chronicled is provided "as is," without guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Generated content is produced by AI models and may contain inconsistencies, errors, or content you didn't expect — review anything before relying on it for your game.
These terms may be updated as Chronicled evolves. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "last updated" date on this page.
